Plant Diversity and Taste the Difference!

garlic4

All our garlic is organically grown on our farm near Kincardine Ontario. We have over 50 varieties in the ground for the 2019 season. Diversity is the spice of life and with such a great diversity of garlic, food can never be boring!

Seed Garlic- Only our top quality bulbs are sold for seed.  Seed Garlic can be purchased on the farm or shipped to your location, anywhere in Canada. Seed garlic is $3/bulb plus shipping to your location.  A complete list of varieties can be seen at the bottom of the page.  You can Contact Us  to place an order.  Please remember to include the varieties and quantities you would like.  We begin shipping garlic in mid September to allow enough time for fall planting.

Garlic Umbrils- For those dedicated garlic growers, we also have bulbils available for all our hardneck varieties.  The number of bulbils on each umbril varies with each variety.  Purchasing umbels will take longer to grow full size bulbs, but allows you to end up with a larger number of bulbs in a shorter time. Umbrils are $3 each.

Table Garlic- We have table garlic available on farm seasonally.  You will also find our garlic available at other local vendors.  Contact Us for pricing and availability.

Garlic Products- We also have a wonderful selection of garlic products produced by our sister company Two Birds One Stone.  These include Garlic Powder, Pickled Garlic, Garlic Scape Pesto and Garlic Aioli.  You will find all our products here, Two Birds One Stone Products.

On our farm we focus on preserving diversity in agriculture and sustainable growing methods.  I have dedicated much of my life to growing food organically and garlic has always held a special space in my garden and my kitchen.  With hundreds of different cultivars available and a rich history this wonderful bulb continues to fascinate and surprise me.  I love the flavour and health benefits of garlic and I find ways to included in most meal in our home.

If you are interested in growing your own food garlic is a perfect addition to your garden.  It takes very little space to grow a years supply of garlic for a family.  With so many varieties to choose from, there is sure to be a type that fits your palette and growing conditions.  Once you get started using local heritage garlic, the range of heats and flavour will keep you coming back for more.

Our garlic is grown chemical free.  We take great care to assure that it is pest and disease free.  If you are looking to grown garlic you should be aware of the major pest and disease concerns and never plant anything that you are concerned about.  We can track all our varieties back to the reputable growers that we originally sourced from. We are members of Seeds of Diversity Canada and have been part of their great Canadian garlic collection.

Thank you for visiting, I look forward to hearing from you.
